*Reflexologists do NOT prescribe or diagnose.* Reflexology has been around for over four thousand years . It is safe and natural and works alongside your conventional medical care to help promote healing, increase well being and improve balance in your body. Reflexology has been reported to help with: Anxiety, general pain, back pain, headaches and migraines, period pain and menopausal symptoms, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), bladder issues, and many more. It can help boost your blood and lymphatic circulation. Most people who receive Reflexology find positive psychological effects as it calms them and relieves stress. What is a treatment like? You will either be sitting (reclined) or laying down, the only thing that you will be asked to remove is your shoes and/or socks. Your Reflexologist will explain a little bit about the session and what will take place, while taking information on your health history as well as asking you to sign a consent form. Then they will cleanse their hands, do a visual assessment of your feet - looking for an open wounds, rashes, sores, plantar warts or bunions. After this, your feet will be cleansed and the treatment is ready to begin. When working with your feet, we use gentle pressure to allow the nerve pathways to release instead of retreat - and it promotes the relaxation response for your whole body. The goal of Reflexology is to bring your body back into balance, when it is in balance any pain you may be feeling will subside. During the appointment: You may feel relaxed, or light, as well as warmth or like you have energy moving. You may have other reactions of coughing, perspiration, light-headed, tired, loose and relaxed, thirsty, or you may even laugh or cry.

After the appointment: You may have an increase of energy, relief from pain, tiredness, increase of mucus, better sleep, increased mobility, more frequent bowel movements or urination, emotional release (crying), and relaxation.

How many sessions will I need to see results? Most people will see greater benefits from regular sessions (think once a week for five or six weeks) than they will if they only have one sessions once every six months or even once a year. While there is no set number - depending on your own body - you should notice improvements after five sessions.
